It is the new indoor activity when the days are rainy. Cookie would like to demonstrate her technique.
When she is older she will be glad to know that the internet provides tips and tricks on How to Toilet Paper a house. Oh the things to come!

Pumpkin Pickin'
This weekend we took the cookies to the pumpkin patch. Cookie was a little overwhelmed at first but she scored big. We had a great time and look forward to Carving 2009. Here are a few Kodak moments to share...
This is my favorite because it captures a classic conversation between Cookie and I...
Cookie: Mine, Mine, Mine, Myyyyyyyyy pumpkin
Mommy: Cookie you need to remember that nothing in this world is yours! Do you understand me?
Cookie: No
Mommy: [Sigh]
Thanks for the advice Mom and Dad. Just when you thought I never listened. I am now passing this good ol' saying onto my Cookies. Wish me luck!

Baby E Celebration
A couple of weeks we hosted a baby shower to celebrate the upcoming arrival of Baby E!
She will be here in November and as a side note I am thrilled to say that I am not the one counting down the days. Much love to you sis, but I think this sisters baby making days are a thing of the past.
In preparation for the shower we put our heads together and came up with some very nifty thrifty decorations. These decorations were the perfect accessories to the wonderful set-up at the Homestead.
Dessert Table.....Cupcakes, it is the new high dollar cake. No cutting fees.
Party Favors........Great idea by my Mother In Law. Napkins stuffed with candies.
Flower Arrangements......One trip to Cost Co., a great eye for arranging and WA-la a high end very affordable flower arrangement. Super Idea Aunt Joan. The vases were a great find at the Dollar Store.
Last but not least, these oh soooooo cute Baby Booties Corsages. Love, Love these Emily!
It was a wonderful event and a great time was had by all. Congratulations Sis and Rue you both looked beautiful at the shower.

Jon & Kate + Whatever
Just saying...
Maybe the kiddos should put the parents in a timeout. A very long timeout!
Their disputes really make you ponder the saying, "There are two sides to every story." Seems like both sides are getting a lot of air time.
Maybe they should do the celebrity boxing show next?

McHappy
Cookie and I love a good picnic. Her little happy meals make her McHappy, well for the most part. The picture does not really reflect her happiness like the thrill of going down the biggest slide to date.
It more or less shouts, move out of the way crazy lady with the picture phone, I have a playground to conquer and a meal to eat. Oh, they grow up so fast
