It has now been 48 hours since the hurricane and we still remain in the dark. We are limited to our communications; therefore, I have no idea what is happening with our area. I did manage to listen to a few minutes of the Mayor's speech from my car and he continues to announce that we should all remain "hunkered" down.
I am so determined to make it home today, even though I have no idea what I will return to, but I can say that at this moment Cookie is enjoying her flashlight and a little light reading...
